- Employee Interactions: Olea facilitates text and phone conversations with an AI to help employees address workplace issues. These interactions occur through Olea's web app and, in some cases, via the Olea Slack app. The AI analyzes the text for keywords, severity, sentiment, and patterns.
- Interaction Metadata: Metadata (e.g., timestamps) is collected to organize employee cases and chronological information.
- Sentiment Analysis: Olea's Slack app collects employee sentiment data through weekly check-ins.
- Anonymized Data: We collect and process anonymized data to generate reports for managers and HR. This data may also be used for benchmarking, trend analysis, or AI training.

- To Provide the Olea Service: We use your information to facilitate confidential conversations, provide insights, and help address workplace issues.

- Confidential Conversations: Olea provides a safe space for employees to discuss workplace issues. Conversations with the AI agent in Olea’s web app are confidential; personal data and conversation content are not shared with the organization. Employees can share an AI-generated case summary. Slack's privacy policy applies to interactions via the Olea Slack app.
- Anonymized Reporting: Trends and insights shared with managers and HR are anonymized to protect employee privacy.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
- With Employee Consent: Employees control whether to share AI-generated case summaries with coworkers, managers, or HR.
- Service Providers: We share data with third-party service providers that help us provide and maintain Olea (e.g., hosting, data analysis, AI solutions). These providers protect your data.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Data is encrypted with AES 256 in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
